Rosemary Kantai

Rosemary Kantai is a Kenyan based associate providing leadership in the MSA Strategy and Business Planning Unit.  She holds a Masters in Education (Entrepreneurship) from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Education (Business Administration and Economics) from Kenyatta University. She is a certified ILO ‘Making Finance Work for Refugees’ trainer and a seasoned microfinance specialist with over 25 years’ experience. For two decades her contribution in microfinance operations has also included improved financial access for rural based communities. Rosemary excels in Institutional Assessments, Capacity Building, Market Research, and project design across diverse institutions. She is also a renowned consultant in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution for the microfinance sector through work with the Association of Microfinance Institutions (AMFI). For over 10 years, she was a valued faculty member of the School of Applied Microfinance (SAM), and presently contributes to the Women On Boards Network, in Kenya. As a Board Member, she serves on SOLUTI Finance East Africa (formerly Stromme Microfinance East Africa Limited), Five Talents Kenya, and Five Talents International. Her professional exposure extends to global institutions in Bangladesh, Latin America, and various other countries.
